I am a PhD candidate at the College of Computing and Informatics at Drexel University (member of the iSchools) where I work with Dr. Andrea ForteEmploying mixed methods, I examine the ways in which social computing systems can be designed to allow people to disclose stigmatized experiences and seek and provide support in their online social networks.

Research interests: online identity, emotional disclosure, self-disclosure, stigma, privacy, major life events, social support, psychological well-being, photo-sharing, vulnerable populations, participatory information sources

Workshop paper accepted for CHI 2016

I have a workshop paper accepted for the CHI 2016  Ethical Encounters in HCI workshop: “Social Computing Researchers, Vulnerability, and Peer Support,” co-authored with Andrea Forte. The theme of the workshop is right up my alley, and I’m excited to be able to share my work and hear about other researchers’ experiences studying vulnerable populations.
